On a street largely comprised of old houses, these two townhouses make a captivating presence through the use of interesting forms and modern materials. Yet, instead of displaying their distinct design, these homes effortlessly integrate with the neighbouring architecture. Despite this, the project breezed through planning approval as we carefully considered the existing streetscape. We ensured that the new homes matched the surrounding architecture's scale, setbacks, and materials, creating a cohesive and welcoming atmosphere. Instead of showcasing their unique design, the houses blend in discreetly with their neighbours, resulting in a harmonious look. This approach saved our clients considerable time and money by tackling the planning approval process professionally and with a clever, deceptively simple solution.
